6th Annual Student Forum Food Conference: Technological Frontiers in Food Security and Sustainability

Where? School of Geography and the Environment - South Parks Road, Oxford OX13QY

Who? This year's conference is organised by final year DPhil student Franziska Gaupp, Masters student Christopher Sisca, DPhil student Katherine French, and former masters student Alice Chautard. 

What? The theme is Technological Frontiers in Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture. The keynote speach will be given by Dr Monika Zurek (from the Environmental Change Institute in the Department of Geography), and the following sessions will explore:

·      Technological advances in breeding

·      Innovation in natural resource management

·      Disruptive solutions? Barriers to social acceptance of new technologies

The day will also include lunch and a poster session, and will conclude with a drinks reception in the evening.
