Claudia’s research focuses on optimising conservation in a functional, agricultural landscape. She considers how land management techniques affect levels of plant diversity and the agricultural yield on British farmland. Her fieldwork is based on the Ditchley Park Estate, Oxfordshire.

Claudia is particularly interested in the importance and effectiveness of agri-environment schemes, with respect to hedgerows and landscape heterogeneity.

She holds an Oxford-HDH Wills 1965 Charitable Trust Scholarship. Before joining Plant Sciences, she received a BA (Hons) in Biological Sciences (1st Class) from Oxford University. Moreover, during her time as an undergraduate, she studied at UC Berkeley and the Australian National University under a Santander Scholarship.
