Emily is a postdoctoral research in HESTIA's farm trials team that collaborates with many stakeholders to run randomised control trials to test how to help farmers improve the environmental sustainability of farming. In her PhD, Emily measured the drivers and barriers to adoption of conservation initiatives, and tested for rebound effects amongst adopters of carbon offsets. Previously, Emily worked for NGOs, leading research programmes, including studies of the impacts of the oceans on climate change, and vice-versa, sustainable agriculture, and food security. She produced a range of communications for diverse audiences, and collaborated with other civil society groups and national delegations to secure sustainability agreements at negotiations, i.e. at the UNFAO.
