Tim's research focuses on how demographic rates vary across genotypes, phenotypes and environments. His group identifies the ecological, evolutionary and conservation consequences of this variation. Although much of his research focuses on field and laboratory studies of non-human animals, he has started developing models to understand and predict the consequences of the ongoing obesity epidemic. These models can be used to predict how future food demands as the human population grows, wealth increases and waistlines expand.
